I am looking to purchase a Lexmark X5470 all in one printer and fax machine??

I am looking to purchase the above, can nebody tell me how the fax works? i have tried searching everywhere for info on it, i understand you can use it just as a normal fax machine( you dont need your computer) but i was wondering whether you could write something up on the computer and then just click fax and it would work? would i need extra software to do this????

All the software you need comes with the printer. Fax works fine. You don't need a computer for the fax to work. Yes if you type something up on your computer it will fax it. You might want to look into the HP all in one printers also. Good Luck!!
