I't will be a christmas gift for a graphic designer so I don't know if there's one that doesn't take much getting used to & comfortable maybe another designer can reccomend?

i went into bios and tried to make it boot from cd but it keeps telling me that ntdlr is missing and to alt control delete to restart.
i am trying to reinstall my windows xp disk
on my computer but it will not let me boot from it. I formatted my hard drive on a differrent computer, then put it back in the pc i am trying to fix but it still will not let me boot from the xp disk. Does this mean that my hard drive is bad. If anyone has any suggestions please help me

what i mean is like you know when you first turn your pc on and is starts up well my pc use to start up really quick when i first brought it , when it comes on my background be on like 3 or 4 minutes then my desktop icons pop on

This pc i bought came with no hard drive and no ram.Firstly i put in 2 sticks of sdram Pc133.it only accepted 1 strick.I even changed them around,the same result 1 stick,the same memory bank aswell,so its not the ram.Then i took out the cmos battery for 30 seconds,put it back,then put in the ram,the same i memory stick works,but this time its on the bank that never worked.So don't what this issue is there,its no the board or ram.Then the hard drive,it gets to the option with safe mode,windows start normal,but nothing happens.Is it because of the 128MB?

My warranty has expired, HP wants to charge me for recovery disks because I've already used up my one "free" recovery, according to HP rep. Error messages are "NTDLR is missing". And "SETUPREG.HIV could not be loaded". I have access to the BIOS settings which have returned to original "optimized/default" settings at time created. XP comes installed in this computer. So "just installing WXP CD" -not option. Can I manipulate the BIOS settings so pc recognizes hard drive? Thank you. I'm .

I need to find a way of installing a standard PC (e.g. Pentium 4) into a car. The standard PSU is designed to be connected to a 240V AC supply. I've tried an AC/DC convertor but these things heat up and require large amounts of power (Amps) and they take up a lot of space and do get quite hot when running.

I think all of the output on the PSU are DC and below 12v so could i not just create a simply circuit to step the voltage down to the correct levels 3.3v, 1.5v ect and then draw off the current at these levels.

Any ideas?

My computer's been reading CD's fine until recently. When I insert a CD into the drive, lights just blink but the CD is not read. It doesn't run, nor does it even show up on "My computer" Please help!

I have tried the power cord and the switch, the light in the back where the cord plugs in blinks for a second when plugged in then nothing. I can here a small fan or something running where the power converter is. Could it be where the plug plugs into the computer? please help

I have my own computer. What is a good computer to purchase for playing games, using the internet, and using microsoft documetns (i.e power point, excel, word etc.). I already have a Dell, but I tried to download games, and they were very slow. I've heard alienware was good. Price is not problem just not above 1500, for now. So what good computer can I get for gaming?

I have "clouds" when the screen is at an angle. Also there is a mark going across and gets bigger anytime I shut the laptop. There are speaker marks going across the bottom border of the screen, and are impossible to get off.

hello my dell inspiron 1100 has a broken power jack that somebody tried to soldier before and messed it up but it still powers off the battery so i would like to know if i could get some information on the battery where the power of the nine leads on the battery comes out

basically i want to connect my ac cord with 2 wires to 2 of the nine leads on the motherboard to power it up thru there i know its possible please give me some info
