i checked if there was a floppy disk inside the drive and there was none so what can be the prob and hw can i fix it

I have a Dell Latitude D510 Laptop which I've had for over a year now. It recently contracted a virus that the anti-spyware and adware programs I'm using (Doctor, Macafee, Symantec, and various shareware) can't seem to eradicate, so I'm reformatting my hard drive. I know it’s a virus because my computer has been excruciating slow lately (even when I close all extraneous programs), and I haven’t installed any new software.

I've had some conflicting advice as to whether I should use the drivers that came with the computer, or get them off Dell’s website before I reformat and load them off a CD or another computer. Which should do?

Hi, I'm trying to help a friend over the net fix her computer. I'm just going to cut and paste our conversation so you'll know as much as I do. ---
Tom: so initially .. before you fixed anything.. what were the symptoms?
---yogi: justin said he turned the puter on
---yogi:said it stuck on the windows thing
---yogi: so he turned it off
---yogi: turned it back on and it did the same thing
---yogi: then when i got home
---yogi: the puter was on but the monitor was saying it was on power save
---yogi: it wouldnt bring anything up
---yogi: it just said monitor was working but on power save mode and use the computer to activate it
---yogi: so i changed the video card and it came up right
---yogi: took forever but finally came up
---yogi: but it takes forever to open a window.try opening explorer is like geesh

Is there a way that I can reprint a document, I just printed a report on my job that you can only print once daily and the report didn't finish printing. I was wondering if the information might be stored in the print job history or some place like that where i can retreive it and print it again. Help please I get off in half of an hour.

I recently purchased a Pentium D 3.4ghtz systerm that has 2 gigs of RAM (upgradeable to 4 max) and came with a NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GS video card.

If I wanted to could I replace my video card with NVIDIA's current fastest 512 mb video card or even their 1 gig video cards or will my comp not be able to handle that?

If it can handle it would I have to upgrade the RAM to the max 4 gigs?

I have a great computer that I want to sell because I'm going to get a laptop. This machine is the best one I've ever had and it still runs great with no problems. I wish it was a laptop though. Any idea how much I could sell this for?

Currently im considering buying a computer

The graphic card says the min req is a 350 watt power supply
but the gateway default factory powersupply is a 300watt one
Is it ok to use the graphic card with the factory power supply?

I just bought a bigger hard drive for my laptop. I want to keep the old hard drive for games, and use the bigger one for all my movie, music, pics, and work stuff. How do i store the hard drive that isnt being used? can i just toss it in a drawer, or should i store it in some special wrapping?
