If the video card was changed, it may be possible that the drivers were not changed as well (for whatever reason).

Have them go to the website of the video card manufacturer and install the lastest drivers for the card.

I dont know why this would slow it down though...maybe the real problem was masked by changing the video card. Check the startup programs, scan for virus and spy.

It sounds like she hasn't installed the drivers for the video card yet & that they are operating on Windows standard drivers.

I would suggest that she install the new drivers, which can most likely be found online at the manufacturers website and then restart her computer.

clear yor cookies and your cashe ... once u get explorer open, go to Tools on the top menu, click internet options, then click on delete cookies, wiat for it to complete, then hit delete files, and select delete all offline content. this may take a few minutes to complete. then click the start buton, and go to the control panel, go to performance and maintenence, and click rearange files to make programs run faster. this will begin the process of defragmenting. you will be asked to choose either defragment, or analyse. choose defragment. This will take some time. I reccomend doing this before you go to bed, as it will USUALLY be done when you get up.

once that completes, reboot, and give it a try.

To help make the computer go faster follow the guidelines here:

The part that tells you to go into safe mode is particularly good (but he forgot to mention that all the icons will go bigger than usual - which is normal:)))
