Bottomline is, Windows tends to load the OS according to the BIOS configuration. What you seen is a warning message displayed by BIOS itself.

One of the viewers above said it correctly. It's a sign of possible soon-to-come hardware failure. To get rid of such mesage, you need to change boot setup in BIOS. Set boot sequence to:
1) Hard disk
2) CD-Rom
3) ..disable any drive including the floppy drive itself.
4) Disable "Boot from other device"

After system restart, the BIOS will ignore your floppy drive. However, you still can read from floppy disk shall you wish to use it. The system just bypass the booting sequence.

Voila! Hope this help.

Is there a disk in your CD drive?

Windows checks that, too.

If not, then your floppy is probably still engaged in its read mode. That's usually a sign of a damaged floppy drive.

It could be trying to boot from some other drive. For example, do you have a CD in the CD-ROM drive?

If not, you have a major BIOS problem and you probably shouldn't attempt to fix it yourself.
