wen i ryt click to open my flash drive msg pops saying that my flash is not formatted and asking me if i want to 4mat it, wen i click yes msg box appears saying i dont have sufficient ryts to perform the operation... wat should i do? its brand is My-Flash 512MB PD1 of a-data company.... can any one help me...

Used to be able to dwnld from camera to pc, email without touching pix, received on other end just fine. Now, with same steps as before, they're receiving HUGE pix! Did I change a setting on pc or maybe camera?

I want to get a new external hardrive (filled the old one)
Is there a difference between the small ones that run on usb power and the larger ones that you plug into the wall?

it would just refuse to turn on. Usually it would only be succesful after a few times. Recently it got worse. By the way I noticed the CPU fan is not working. Any idea on what causes this? Has it got something to do with the fan not working? Thanks!

i want to buy a 2nd laptop... if i was to buy one from ebay, or the local exchange shop..(i have seen one i like). if it be stolen, can it ever be traced and blocked anyway...is it safe to use... and how would i know its a genuine as in not stolen, item......

The sound card is installed correctly with the proper drivers. I turned the comp off, plugged in external speakers, re-booted but when it got to desktop it detected new hardware and tries unsuccessfully to load drivers for it .
So i went to control panel and found that my sound card was no longer installed. Out came the speakers and I re-booted again, and it goes back to normal, has sound card listed properly in device manager.
Any suggestions?

I have upgraded my PC to:

P5B motherboard
Intel Core Duo E6400
NVIDIA 5900GT video card
2G OCZ PC6400 RAM
320G Seagate SATA hard drive
DVD writer

The MB manual recommends AT LEAST 400W power supply, which means I'm gonna get fleeced for another $100 or so. What power supply should I buy?

I managed to do a hard shut down by holding the start button for 10s, but it won't shutdown using the normal route, window->start->shutdown procedure.

It just hangs on the windows logo but doesn't say it's shutting down. What could be wrong? How do you fix it?

I plugged a little three outlet wall surge protector into a 220w outlet, then plugged in cpu, heard loud pop and burnt smell. It was only plugged in for a second or two. How can I tell if it fried the motherboard? Or if the power supply is even cooked? If the motherboard is gone, is the memory or video card also gone?

I have a MSI motherbord 845 Max 6566
It has an onboard soundcard.
I downloaded the driver from MSI.com, and installed it (AC'97 Realtek driver)
The soundcard seems to be playing and is installed in windows hardware manager, but I cant get sound from it.
I tested my speakers and wires, and everthing works. jiust no sound form PC??????.
