I think I have uninstalled lpt1. How can I reinstall it please?

what kind of OS are you using? if it is windows xp, you can simply go to my computer properties, go to hardware, select the first line (that's your computer name) & click refresh button or press F5. you must make sure that your lpt port have been enabled in your BIOS. normally by default it'll always enable, unless manually modified.

delete it from device manager and reboot, windows should pick it up
