I wouldn´t buy one at ebay, ive been loking and they are in some cases more expensive than in shops, or have things missing like hard drives, ram or even CPU, which have to be bought seperately. This is only mentioned somewhere in the long description in order to catch people out who either can´t be bothered to read it all or havn´t got a clue about technical details

If you want to do tasks which require fast CPU´s and Graphics then best buy a new one with garaunty and pay it off, better than getting a second hand one which conks out ofter two weeks.

And if it is stollen, just format it and install your own stuff, not a problem.

in the long run you would save money.

people that diss eBay are ignorant and don't know what they're talking about. I got a good laptop from eBay. You will no its not stolen just by the source in which it came from. Second of all eBay has a policy that deals with scams. I paid $232.00 for my Dell Latitude and I am real pleased with it.. Laptops unlimited have good laptops. windows ready and all..

Whilst eBay can be a good place to pick up a second hand laptop I'd also recommend joining your local FreeCycle group (http://www.freecycle.org/) where not only is everything free but you're also contributing to a massive localalised recycling effort.

i don't think you will ever know if its knock off unless the shop or eBay seller can give you proof of purches
