You will need two of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820172105
I have checked on HP.com and looked at the specifics of your system, and this is what you need. HP is charging over $400 a piece to buy from them, why so high I have no idea, but this stuff I am showing you is good, in fact Kingston is a top brand of RAM. You will need to take the old sticks out as you only have two slots.

I would check before buying your new RAM Card. Make sure you have an available slot because if you have 1GB with no empty slots, you will need to buy a bigger mother board that supports more RAM before you can increase your RAM. Although from the sounds of it you are probably running on a 1GB card opposed to multiple cards that add up. Hope this helps ya. Make sure you ask the dealer for your new ram if it is returnable incase it does not work with your system.

well like any other computer you can always upgrade them. Im not really familiar with your computer model but Im sure if you check with the dealer where you bought it they'll let you know whether you can or not. One more thing do you play games or why do you need so much memory plus anything above 1GB its really expensive. And to replace it all you need to do is buy the memory sticks and stick it next to the ones you already have its really simple just like playing with legos. Just one advice you should have to apply some presure on the part but dont force it and make sure you know what your buying before you spend your money.

Yes, but problem: most likely, your laptop installed with two 512MB. This means that you have to take one out in order to put a larger one in. I have the same problem with my Toshiba SK9, except mine is upgradable to 4 gigs. This means I take a 512 out, and put in 2G for a sum of 2.5 Gs. Good luck.
