i only have 1 memory card in and its 128mg and the total available memory is 11.23 why is that do i need another memory card put in. i have a dell dimension.

when i put a disc in the cd-rom drive my mouse freezes ,i am totally at a loss on this one,every thing else is fine,this all started when i tried to install a 2nd hard drive
i can do a windows re-install but would rather not if its only a quick fix
any ideas

I'm looking to replace the battery on my IBM ThinkPad 240 and from what I can tell, it's offered in 3400 mAh, compared to the 1400 mAh that came with it. I guess I have a few questions...

1. What does "mAh" mean?

2. What will the higher number translate to in terms of how long I can run my computer? Will it run (3400/1400) times longer than it did using the 1400 mAh battery when it was brand new?

3. Is it even worth spending about $50 to replace the battery on a laptop as old as this?

I have noticed that all new printers dont come with a usb cable to connect it up to your pc. if you think about it printers are the only pc accessory that u need to buy extra cables for. if u buy a base unit it comes with mouse and keyboard, speakers comes with all wires to get it connected. but its only the printer that dont come with one of the most inportant cables.

I am refering to printers that can't work with out a pc that is.

Ok when I try and load XP SP 2 on this pc I get this blue screen with alot of stuff but the main error is "setupdd.sys " now I have tried 3 seprerate copies including and still the same, but when i install win98 it works fine.

I know the cds work as hours before I set them up on another pc.

Please help

Hi, I'm a late teen, and keen to buy a laptop, but I don't have too much money, and don't know a lot about laptops... I primarily want to edit videos that I record for projects, and burn copies of the edited film. I presume I will need a few firewire connections and a lot of disk space, but is there anything else I will need?

The graphics card should be a good one, but then I only have around £500, so are my demands that realistic?
Internet is a must, and the ability to play some recent games would be a plus (as work can get very boring!).

Any help appreciated, and if there is a specific laptop that you know fulfills my needs, please write the name!!

I'm not talking about out of my speakers, but from the little beeps that happen all the time for warnings, or keystrokes or whatever. There are small internal speakers that I want to turn off. How do I do that? Thx.

Dell Monitor E773C. The contrast menu pops up and stays on the display shortly after I turn the monitor on. It stays on the display almost all the time, then will disappear for a short period of time. When it is on the display none of the menu keys will work-----these are the buttons near the bottom of the monitor, used to make adjustments. Does anyone have a solution to this problem or can steer me in the right direction to find a solution for this? Thanks, Steve

i installed a 80gb hard drive as a slave to a 80gb master drive,but soon after i lost my dvd-rom as a device,this happened just after i also tried to install a usb device
after a bit of head scratching,i thought i would try it without the slave drive,and when i got the drive out it was "red hot",....why was this
i have a 400w ctk psu,and a radeon 9250 which dosent burn extra juice like the bigger models
every thing is fine now but how will i use a extra drive,a psu upgrade or take out a optical drive
specs...amd athlon 3200+ ,768mb ddr ram 80gb hdd
any ideas
