i dont have any complex programs running, just browsing and i have good security on it, so its not a virus?

It might be overheating...download SpeedFan and check your temps with it.

basically if u use program/downloads such as messenger and u get all those smileys and winks they can slow down ur comp by a great deal... music is also a common problem as we all like our music... erm ur laptoop may also be too hot if its surrounded by books or too many items on your desk the laptop overheats nd doesnt function properly so its best 2 keep it away 4rm clutter

one of the problems with laptops can be overheating due to the compactness of everything inside ...it sounds like this may be your problem ...........check the outlet fan holes underneath /on rear ....is it blocked with dust ....if not can you hear the fan going and fell heat being pushed out ..........always use a laptop on some firm ..so that the vent on the bottom is not restricted

it could be anything..hardware problem, software conflict, spyware, or adware. is it still under warranty? if it is, i would call customer support. if not, try scanning your computer in Safe Mode. Is your computer very old? What browser do you use? When does it freeze? good luck solving your problem.

just because you have the software doesn't mean you don't have a virus. scan your computer for a virus and spyware and ad ware. could be any of those.
