i only have 1 memory card in and its 128mg and the total available memory is 11.23 why is that do i need another memory card put in. i have a dell dimension.

Follow these directions and you'll see how much memory you really have.

Start
Control Panel (May be under Settings)
System (Select the General Tab- Should be there by Defualt)

Now at the bottom right side you'll see a caption "Computer:" and then your PC specs. CPU (Proccessor: Intel Pentium "Yada" or AMD "Yada" then you'll see your memory it should read something along the lines of 128MB of RAM that's the memory your PC is reading.

128 is not alot these days I suggest upgrading when you can. If you aren't sure how to upgrade it contact Dell and find out what exact parts you need and find the parts somewhere else- They will probably charge double. Jot down the EXACT model type.

www.newegg.com has great deals- you can call them and ask if they have the exact parts you need/want. They have awsome customer service.
