I'm not talking about out of my speakers, but from the little beeps that happen all the time for warnings, or keystrokes or whatever. There are small internal speakers that I want to turn off. How do I do that? Thx.

If you're running Microsoft Windows you can disable the Internal speaker or PC speaker by following the below steps.

* Open device manager
* In device manager click View and click "Show hidden devices"
This should make "Non-Plug and Play Drivers" visible in device manager.
* Expand Non-Plug and Play Drivers by clicking the plus and double-click Beep.
* Within the "Beep properties" window click the Driver tab.
* Under the driver tab if you wish to temporarily disable this device click the Stop button. If you wish to permanently disable this device under the Startup Type select Disabled.

The simplest way is in the operating system. In Windows, go to:

start / control panel / sounds and audio devices

On the first page, select "mute".

You may also have a shortcut in your taskbar, near the clock. If you have a small speaker icon there, simply left click on it and select mute.

Check it on your task panel if there is a icon for Volume; if it's there open it and click mute on..In the control panel look for the alternative..Go to window tools and look for your small speaker which is beeping..or perhaps you might be on a Wireless ISP

Look at your tray at the right hand corner bottom. Look for the icon for sound, click and open that and mute. Or else go through start menu and do it.
