My digital cable box has AV() and dvi-d >. My P.C. is a Compaq Presario Media Center SR1923WM-B PC. The monitor is a HP w19 19-inch wide Flat-Panel LCD Monitor. It says "Create your own home theater with the true widescreen format; watch movies in HDTV format right from your PC • Get true digital graphics performance with the dual inputs that support both DVI-D and traditional analog (VGA ).What ever that means(i dunno). I am in the backup utility. When I go to select my backup source, it already has selected the Floppy Drive. When I select my CD drive, it says that it is not a valid path. It only lets me by when I select the floppy drive. Why doesn't it exept the CD drive. I have a CD+DVD burner.

I just bought a new laptop about a month ago, I have installed no new programs and it says I have only 200mb's of space left out of 80gb. What should I do? I think the number is wrong. How do I fix it. I have tried defrag and system cleanup on my computer but it has not helped.

admittedly, i dont know a whole lot about computers. i wanted to find out from people who owned them, what the most reliable external hard drives are and whats the largest capacity drive you can buy? these are good if your friend has a bunch of video files on his comp that you want to copy right? you can just drop off your drive and he can copy real easy with a USB...i want to copy of bunch of anime from my friend ...

I Have P4 Machine with windows xp sp2 installed i cant detect any of the usb devices how to solve this problem?
When i connect ipod i am able to charge the ipod but windows xp does not detect the ipod .Even when i connect external hdd with enxernal power supply it shows unknow device but unable to detect the harddisk
the pen drive is also not detected i tried connecting on 4 motherboard usb ports and 2 front usb ports . i even tried formatting my machine but it didnt solve the problem
there are no exclaimation marks in the device manager too.. it shows all usb devices working fine in the bios also usb are enabled . what might be the problem how can all the usb ports not work ?when i uninstall the usb from the device manager and restart the machine it detects all the usb ports
Anyone any idea any other alternatives

I have and old internal hard drive that I have put into a case to use as an external hard drive but I can't access it b/c it won't pick up as an additional drive. It was/is password protected so I went through safe mode to access the file and allow control but when I rebooted it didn't register the external drive at all. Is there a way to have it register the drive and still access the old files?

My PC died, cannot read any recovery discs, either in Floppy or CD drives, says that I have no drives in machine. All I want are the jpg's off of the hard drive.
Then I will put in a new hard drive and start over. Does anyone know how much it could cost to retrieve info from a hard drive
and why is it so difficult to do this yourself.??

I mostly just want my own for my iTunes and LimeWire so it doesn't slow down the family computer. I also like picture and video editing if that makes a difference. I'm sure with computers, you get what you pay for, but what's the most reliable one to get for a reasonable price?
