the yahoo word on it page is red, right? But on my monitor it looks black,and the red square on scrabble,it appears black colour!

try turning your brightness up

Red is definitly red and not black, same with Green and Blue. If you look at the screen with a magnifying glass when it is showing white you will see the 3 color dots.

To try and keep this short.
The problem you are encountering is that one of the color guns has dropped out most likely is your green gun, and to try and repair this problem would be more expensive than replacing the monitor.

monitor is bad get new one get aflat screen lcd is ok but does have drawbacks
