I have alot of music and I would like to sperate it as my pc can run slow sometimes is there anyway of doing this without partitioning it? I dont want to end up losing everything, please help. Thanx

i can see Dell Inspiron 6400 and Dell E1505 with all same configuration, but there is a small diffrence in price. Do anybody have an idea, what is diffrence between both and which one is better?
Please help i have to choose a notebook soon :)

I work with Windows PCs, not Macs, but I'm trying to help my Dad with his two Macs. I took the hard drive (with important data on it) out of the old Mac, set the jumper to slave, and installed it to the new Mac (OS 9.2). The computer with the two hard drives in it starts up fine, but seems to be ignoring the slave drive. It does not appear on the desktop. In Apple System Profiler, Internal ATA shows that two hard drives are connected and pulls the info from both of them (Master on ID = 0 and Slave on ID = 1), but out to the right of that, the master drive says its name/size, which is probably good, but the slave says "no volumes mounted", which I assume is why I cannot see the slave on the desktop. How do I resolve this so that both the master and slave appear on the desktop?

I'm running an iMac with Panther, OS 10.4... and purchased a Fantom Drive. I thought I could just "drag and drop" my Mac HD onto the Fantom Drive and everything would be copied over...BUT...instead it copies over the folders only. When I try to copy over data files, I get an error message. Is there some type of configuration I have to do to the Fantom Drive? I really need to free up some space on my iMac HD. Thanks in advance for the help. I'm desperate for an answer, so I'm posting this in another computer area also. Please help me!

I need fast rendering and somthing that will work well with audio. I'll be saving alot of my stuff on an external drive and will be trying to get alot of work based on this computers performance. *I have Windows XP*
A couple of weeks ago my computer stopped starting up… When I hit the button to turn it on it starts up, it asks about running a check on the C: drive (though it makes no difference whether I run it or cancel it), goes to the blue screen that says Windows is starting up, then the screen is black like it is about to go to my desktop; the cursor appears and I am able to move it, then all of a sudden the computer restarts itself and it just keeps doing the same thing.
Once, I was able to get to the options screen (where it lets you pick safe mode and all that) and I went to last configuration or whatever and the computer started up fine. Unfortunately, since that ONE time it worked, if I try to do that now, it doesn’t work. I have attempted going in to Safe mode and it does not work either.
I know there is something really wrong with my comp, so I would like to get to my desktop to save files and such before I take it to be fixed and lose all my data. Please help
