*I have Windows XP*
A couple of weeks ago my computer stopped starting up… When I hit the button to turn it on it starts up, it asks about running a check on the C: drive (though it makes no difference whether I run it or cancel it), goes to the blue screen that says Windows is starting up, then the screen is black like it is about to go to my desktop; the cursor appears and I am able to move it, then all of a sudden the computer restarts itself and it just keeps doing the same thing.
Once, I was able to get to the options screen (where it lets you pick safe mode and all that) and I went to last configuration or whatever and the computer started up fine. Unfortunately, since that ONE time it worked, if I try to do that now, it doesn’t work. I have attempted going in to Safe mode and it does not work either.
I know there is something really wrong with my comp, so I would like to get to my desktop to save files and such before I take it to be fixed and lose all my data. Please help

You might be able to have a professional back up some of your C: (Just parts) but other than that, you need to put in the installation cd. This will how ever destroy everything.

Don't Worry.

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM TWO WEEKS AGO WHIT MY LAPTOP, YOU NEED TO USE YOUR APPLICATION AND DRIVER RECOVERY DVD then you must buy a program which recovers deleted file even you for-mated your laptop or download from Internet.

good luck
