Is the slot where the floppy disk drive plugs into the motherboard, a IDE port?

I know that hard drive and CD/DVD drives go into the IDE slots, but there is a third slot and I think it is the third IDE port, but I'm not sure.

The third port on your motherboard would be where your floppy disk cable goes. It looks like a regular IDE port but it is slightly smaller.

Yes, your floppy is connected to an IDE port. If there is a similar slot next to it that is empty you can plug an IDE device into it.
