Does this Belkin Wireless G Universal Extender work with Apple Airport? http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=255033

That is, will it pick up my Airport Express signal and bounce it elsewhere in the house?

"Universal"/G suggests universality - but I picked up a box the other day that suggested your router needed to be a Belkin!

I use Sprint PC internet wireless card.
Why is this card connecting like the following? Any idea how to solve this or do I need to get with Sprint? Any ideas?

The connection has timed out

The server at by124w.bay124.mail.live.com is taking too long to respond.

* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Will sometimes be booted to linux, sometimes to one or more Windows OS's, sometimes will use a palmtop or other wifi enabled device. I haven't discovered ANY wireless router that can do this. But I haven't looked at them ALL. :-)

Are there any? If so, how do you accomplish with each?

Would like each device to receive the same IP address each time it boots or revives from standby or hibernate, yet have the DNS server info provided automatically as is done in a typical DHCP configuration.

My laptop is connected to the internet, but when I go to Firefox or IE nothing happens, could this be a winsock error? What could it be?

(My computer connects through a wifi modem, but that is beside the point and don't let this confuse you to think that it is problem. I already had my modem checked and it is fine.)

Ok my computer was set up by my brother so I don't really know how its set up and I need some help understanding it.

There is a Netgear wireless router on the desk with 4 cables out the back. I'm connected to Tiscali Broadband, when I go to Network Connections it says I have a 1394 connection and a Local area connection.

So my question is this: is my internet coming through the router? Is there a wireless signal constantly flowing through my house? How would I connect a laptop through the wireless connection (it has wireless thingy stuck in the usb for picking up the signal)?

Just state if you need more info and thanks for the help

I'm using a Linksys Router to give wireless internet to a Dell and am using a Mac, which I am using currently. The dell connects to the Internet with the WEP encoding fine.

When attempting to connect with my Mac to the Router, which was protecting it with a WEP Key, but I could not connect to it, and it says there was an error connecting to the network or whatever. So I disabled the WEP encoding and tried connecting, and I connected just fine with my mac..

I'm Positive I had the correct WEP key, because I changed it twice and both produced the same result..

I'm just wondering if any others have had this occur, or have heard of this happening and what may cause it?

I really need to use a WEP key, because I live in a situation where multiple different parties could use my connection....

Any ballpark ideas or insights that may help me?

I have a desktop pc and a notebook (Acer 5610). Whenever i try to send big files (600 mb+) it takes 6 to 10 mins and sometimes more. The router or the network card says 50 mbps or something like that, according to that shouldn't it take very few mins to transfer large files?

One of our classrooms has no internet connection. To hook it up will cost us a fortune. Can we use a router instead? The modem is connected to our server (windows 2003). How many computers can we connect to a router and how far will the signal go? Thank you.

Hi, at a cafe that offers Wi-Fi, my computer cannot connect to their wireless internet, while everybody else in the cafe is able to. Also, at my small office which just set up office network, only my computer cannot connect. Why is that and how can I connect like everybody else? I can connect to ADSL at home and at other wireless internet places. I use Windows XP, and Symantec Client Firewall (and have Windows Firewall off). I thought maybe my firewall is the cause of the problem, so I tried turning it off (for long enough to try connecting), but it still does not connetct. At the cafe, when I ask windows to look for wireless network, it does find the network for the cafe, but does not connect (although it's supposed to be an automatic connection), and when I click "Connect", it tries for a while, but says it cannot connect. If you can offer how I can try changing settings (on Windows, on my firewall, anything else), or suggest any other reason, that would be great. Thank you.
