Will sometimes be booted to linux, sometimes to one or more Windows OS's, sometimes will use a palmtop or other wifi enabled device. I haven't discovered ANY wireless router that can do this. But I haven't looked at them ALL. :-)

Are there any? If so, how do you accomplish with each?

Would like each device to receive the same IP address each time it boots or revives from standby or hibernate, yet have the DNS server info provided automatically as is done in a typical DHCP configuration.

Most routers do not have this, and you are right about the wrt300n. You would be safer setting up one Linux server to handle dhcp, then turn off the router dhcp.

Yes!

WRT300N (Linksys) has DHCP reservation..
That is you can reserve an IP address for a MAC Address and it never changes.. Also provides dns automatically..

Try this router.. It should work for u!!

Just about any router can assign a static IP address to a MAC Address while updating DNS.

Either Im not understanding what your asking or your lost. Look at the D-Link 624 emulator.

Hover the mouse over the internet connection symbol on the taskbar, and a little yellow box will pop up with the IP address and the network you are connected to. (In some versions of windows also the connection speed).
