why does my dial up connection box keep poping up on the screen when i cancel it

The screen on my webcam is green, like, it was fine and all of a sudden, when i was adjusting my settings it started going increasingly and slowly green. and now its almost completely dark green, like really dark green, the only thing you can see on it is the light, which shows up a light green. does anybody know what is the matter with it? help GREATLY apprechiated(sp)
have tried readjusting the settings and unistalling and reinstalling.

I have this modem from when I was with aol, i changed to Plus net but kept the modem.It is a usb one and it is slow at times and randomly dissconnects.It is time to change but to what ?Any advise would help.I only want to connect to One computer.Thanks Barbara

crap deleted my question by accident...i purchased a wireless router, which is connected to my dsl modem/router, and i cant get internet access. my main computer (this one) is connected thru the modem, but if i connect it to the wireless router, i cant get access either. and on the computer that i cant access, it doesnt list a dns server under networking properties-status. i know my wireless pci card is working, the green light is on and it says that it is connected. any help would be appreciated.

If you have a wireless network. and it is not secured, can you detect if anyone is connected to your network. I have my rig and my laptop connected to a router. My laptop goes wireless, and my rig is connected through cable. I can't get connected to the internet through my cable connection after I have secured my wireless with 128 bit, but my wireless work as supposed. therefor I am having my network unsecured, and I don't like it at all. I have firewall enabled, but still. This got into both a question and a problem..
