Computer Networking - June 2006

i have a linksys router and an XP and a win2000. i've tried conecting 'em but an error message comes out that says that there is an IP Address conflict? what do i do? Please give me a detailed step by step answer.

I just got a router for my desktop and laptop computers. I have everything connected and working ok at least I hope everything is ok. When I go to connect to my network on the laptop it says I am connecting to a unsecure wireless network. How do I make it a secure network? This is all new and very confussing to me. Any help would be great.

I would like to know which degree I will need to get in order to be a network planning analyst in the future and what are the exact duties of being one. If you are a network planning analyst give me a brief description of your life please! Is it possible for someone to get in on your network and search the internet? I have dsl, and things keep showing up in my search history that everyone denies going to. Is it possible that someone outside is using my network, to go to these sites? if so, then how can i stop it?

I use Azureus. I use port 50004. It is open (TCP and UDP) on my router and my software firewall. My downloads are always green, but they just download sooo slowly. I have it set to upload 20k/s and my downloads are only about 5k/s. Anyone have any ideas of what could be wrong?
