I use Azureus. I use port 50004. It is open (TCP and UDP) on my router and my software firewall. My downloads are always green, but they just download sooo slowly. I have it set to upload 20k/s and my downloads are only about 5k/s. Anyone have any ideas of what could be wrong?

always download the file(s) that have a lot of seeders . Leechers in a bigger number than seeders slow down the download

you could try Utorrent. I've had better results with that. I'm guessing 20k/s isn't your max upload speed? Else if it is, that could causing the problem. If ya max out ya uploads it'll kill your downloads... try about 12k/s and work your way up.
Then again your probably not in new zealand where bandwidth is a scarce commodity. ;)

It works on a credit system...you only get so much download based on your upload.
Downloading more than you upload will get you blacklisted.
Set your software to for high speed upload for a couple of days then select and only select one file for download (say a very large file...cd or dvd iso).
It will download superfast.

Probably have the wrong settings. Azureus is really finicky with settings. You should go to help and pull up the faq. They have guides on how to set your settings for optimal results.

it isn't vista, besides the undeniable fact that you may do the following to fix area. you're mind-blowing with gadget restoration, i in my opinion freed up 8GB using this. you could also receive a free software observed as Treesize which will study your disk and instruct precisely what archives are using what quantity of HDD area. click on my laptop, the right click on C, then houses. click on Disk Cleanup, once loaded click the tab for further innovations/gadget archives which might want to me the 2d or third tap on good. next properly click on your Recycle Bin and set the size to something small like 100mb or something as abode windows through nature gadgets it to about 2GB or similar. next properly click on my laptop, houses, more desirable settings, and click the tab for peformance/digital reminiscence. once you've an exterior HDD or recoverypersistent bypass your paging document to this rather, and set your web page document right down to 50mb as once you look at it, it is going to use a tremendous quantity through default.

Bit torrent is always slow. use bit comment instead
