you're too far away from your base station. either get a signal booster, or get closer to your base station (router).

Right-clicking and hitting the "Repair" menu item usually fixes this. If not, you may have the DHCP server disabled in the wireless router. Set an IP address manually in the same subnet as the router and enable DHCP. Then when you can set any PC connecting to the router to automatically be assigned an address.

It is possible that you have MAC address filtering turned on at the router. If you have this turned on, and the MAC address of your wireless card is not in the list, you will get that message.
Essentially you are getting an IP address but not a gateway.
If you have another computer on the network, type the ip address of the gateway into the IE address bar and you can configure the router.

make sure u have to have router first , turn off your router ,modem and reboote your computer ,did u inseart the software cd first or not if not make sure u follow the instration after inseart the cd u can make your network connection secured and unsecured its up to u but i would suggest u to make secured connection so no one can use your internet connection its better for your security
