i have an Nvidia GeForce 8500GT 512mb and it has S video, i want to plug my TV into it, but i need to reverse the S video jack to make it INPUT on the video card. its already set to output on tv now i need input on my comp so i can watch TV.... so is there any way i can reverse the S video output jack? the tv is EDTV (like HDTV) and has many jacks but the S video on it you can switch from input to output so i was wondering if you could on the computer, i have Windows Vista home Premium and the TV is detected through S video, but how do i put the S video jack on the video card to input... it is NOT an onboard card i bought it seperately, it is PCI-Express PLEASE HELP thanks

I had installed a RAM card about 8 months ago and have had no problems, then 2 days ago my computer crashed. No matter what I did I couldn't get it to start windows, even in safe mode. So, I took out the RAM card and installed the old one and after a little tweaking, my computer finally started. Is the RAM bad? Can it be fixed? And, does anyone know what can make RAM go bad this suddenly?

My son downloaded a couple of free games and after that I got viruses. It's TROJ_CONHOOK.GH located in my system 32 folder as NNLJGE.DLL. My virus scanner says it cleaned the file but it still gets picked up as if it's still active. I tried to delete the file and it won't allow me to saying other programs are using the dll file. How can I get rid of this or how can I find out what else is using that file so I can delete. It's slowing my computer down severely and I have done everything I know to do. Thanks for any help.

Which is better because i was needing to by a new desktop but most has windows vista and people say that vista slows your pc down and xp is better. I have an xp laptop and have been a loyal xp user for many years but i was just wondering should i make the switch to vista or just stay with xp?

Oh and whats the difference between vista basic and premium?

just bought a canon mp970 and it did not come with the cd tray, and the feature is disabled. the door that the tray goes into is also sealed off. this printer was obviously meant to print onto cds and dvds.

Ok, so I have this old emachine tower and I wanted to get it running with linux ubuntu because I think its a pretty neat software and all i do is browse the internet so why not. Anyways I had used this computer about....5 months back till the cheap hard drive went out on me. So I look in the case and than i saw the mother board.......Holy Crap!! Now, I think this is bad but Im not computer engineer so ill ask you. Ok I don't know what they are called but its the thing on the back of the motherboard where you plug you extra stuff into like extra usb ports, modems , and that sourt of stuff. But the last one looks like it was ripped right of the mother board. Does this mean that the motherboard is unuseable? Or will it still work?

I have a 6 month old pc with vista. I brought it to Staples and they sold me an S cable. I plugged that in to my laptop and the tv. Now I am trying to get the laptop to be viewed through the tv??? and please don't refer to the fact of microsoft robbing apple, we all know what happened and now think hard,
and I don't want to buy extra hardware, I know VMWare already, so ya.

Using my present broadband modem, I have 2 computers and a landline telephone in use all at once. I changed to a cheaper system and found I could only use one computer at a time. The phone is out of service also. It never occurred that this would happen. I'm stuck with this contract for 18 months now.
