usually a program would normally open up and give you the option to install. the cd is call of duty four. i just got it, i put it in the disk tray, and was waiting. nothing showed up. i evenclickd and opened my computer and it was no where to be found. help me please?

I recently did a backup of the files on my website only to find out from an antivirus program that the files were corrupted with a trojan horse (called BackDoor-AWQ). How do i find out where it is on the site and remove it?

g'day.

I am after a new video card (PCI-E) for use with CAD software like ArchiCAD and Revit. It needs to be able to handle lots of 3D rendering. I am looking at anything up to about $400. What is the best card for the job? I have been looking at the Leadtek Quadro FX560 128MB and was wondering how it compares to the gaming video cards like the GEFORCE 8600GTS 256MB. Anything i should be looking for in a card for CAD use?? Can CAD cards be used for gaming also?

i am planning to bury about 40 ft of standard cat 5e. it will be placed inside pvc pipe (water pipe). i know condensation might be a problem if the sheathing is nicked or cut, but if it is in good condition would it break down in time, and become a problem.

my brother has this old windows 98 computer and it was connected to dialup and now he has a router and a network card (connected) and it doesn't see the network. The network properties has several items listed including the new device. I am not sure how to connect it - any ideas very much appreciated. thanks

I have a virus protector and only plan to download videos and/or music. I've seen that .exe files bring viruses but I dont plan on downloading them. If I just download it and dont download exe only video and music will that slow down my computer?

I am removing a DVD drive from my computer. I already know how to open the Computer cover and drive panel. I disconnected the IDE too. Now All I need to do is disconnect the 4 prong power cord. The problem is, it won't come out, no matter how hard I pull. How do I get the power cord to a DVD Drive to come out. (If it matters, I am using a Dell E310)

I'm planning to buy Kaspersky's anti-virus software that has spyware included. Wasn't sure if their spyware was going to be that good because it seems like more of an add on. i have a netgear wireless router that i use to connect to the internet with my laptop the router is hooked up to my desktop comp and is hooked up correctly i ve been using this setup for a year now and all of the sudden i went to use my laptop yesterday and there was no connection to any networks?? i called comcast and they told my to call netgear i tried that but cant talk to anyone but a stupid recording then it hangs up on me the right lights are on the router and you can access the internet through the desktop does anyone have any ideas as to why i cant access the internet with my laptop?
