Does Limewire Slow your computer?

Question

I have a virus protector and only plan to download videos and/or music. I've seen that .exe files bring viruses but I dont plan on downloading them. If I just download it and dont download exe only video and music will that slow down my computer?

Also can someone post a link to download it please.

Although limewire does slow down your computer you don't really notice it if you have broadband and besides when your not using it if you just turn it off it'll be fine ...

another thing is that if you want to download movies or files, always check out the biggest sized files and to make sure your downloading a good quality movie, right click and go to advanced and then look up with bitzi this will tell you if what your downloading is a good copy or if its has a virus and stuff like that and your be surprised how much of it does

Any program slows your computer down, all programs need resources some more than others ... but the real problem is the viruses and the fact that a lot of files on limewire aren't what the titles say they are.

i would have to answer yes it can slow down your computer ;
how well mostof the music is coming from other computers they can be infected with viruses an in turn infect your computer .. and exe files are not the only files that can infect your computer there are other hidden files droppers and downloaders they don't actually inferct they just make your computer suceptible to other viruses or they can open up your firewall ect. well that's all for now.. hope this helps

i use limewire all the time and I dont see any slow downs.
Dont play WoW or Audition with Limewire going though
It will slow down your game
And..
&& Every once in a while you have to stop it because it does cause your computer to slow down a little bit at times

it does slow down the computer while you're using limewire,but after you exit it the computer runs normally,just go to limewire.com,download the basic edition

Yes it does because of all the viruses you get. Trust me it crashed my desktop

just don't get a million songs. That will definetely slow it down.
