But when I save the file after choosing my desired settings, and then closing and re-opening the workbook, the settings are changed back to the default. How can I fix this? No "Just buy a new graphics card" answers! If I see one of those I will know you didn't pay attention and you will receive a thumps-down! You have been warned . . .

Thanks!

My computer is saying the hard drive is nearly full and it can't run programs because there's not enough space available (it says the C: drive is 96% full). The computer is a Sony VAIO desktop running Windows XP with a 120GB hard drive but the C: drive says its capacity is only 14GB. The D: drive is virtually empty and seems to have the remainder of the hard drive space (it says around 110 GB).

Is there a way to allocate more space to the C: drive?

When I create a simple black and white jpg file and save it it always opens with "smudges" that get increasingly bad. This is ridiculous. Is there a free program that will not do this, or, can I make paint work right?
