Everytime I start my computer it says "NTLDR is missing Press Ctrl-Alt-Del to restart". When i put my windows cd in it wont let me boot from it even if i press F10 in the beginning and choose to boot from the cd.My brother gave me a cd with the files missing and it still doesnt workI dont have a floppy drive.Is there anyway i can wipe my hd without turning on my computer or is there another way to fix this.

How to recover the error NTLDR is missing in windows XP?

NTLDR is the main file of windows XP to boot it properly. You can recover this file without installing the full windows XP. Follow the given steps to recover the NTLDR file from windows XP CD.

NTLDR (NT Loader) is one of the main files needed to run NT. If you have an upgraded OS you can reformat the drive and install it. Otherwise you may need an old Win98 startup disk with Fdisk to reformat and install your new OS.
If there is anyway you can get to the command prompt you may be able to copy the ntldr file to its proper location which I believe is C:\windows\system32. My NT skills are waning. :P

Check your BIOS, sounds like your boot to cd option is turned off?

Believe it or not, it's a fairly common aggravation...:)
