well... around three days ago my interenet just shut off. it was working fine at 1 or 2 in the morning, but now it's just not working. i call my isp and they tell me that i have exceeded my downloading limit (only TEN freaken gigs) and it wont be back up for another month or so due to us going over. i want to know if there's a way around it because my internet speed has been killed 99.9999994% from what i was running before. it's pretty much like i don't have interent at all. and like.. is there a way to configure my setting through my router or any other way that'll get me connected back to the internet? like.. a way to bypass their block on me...

oh, and is there a way to kill certain ports or ip's running off the same router in the same house? i was looking at my router settings and it seemed as if i could, but i didn't want to mess with anything. i would really like to know =D

I tried setting up a connection... Do i have to talk to my enternet company about it or is there an easier way? I'd like it to be wireless but in another room is fine so can i plug a phone line into the the laptop and get enternet?

I understand that Google indexes sites every three months; is there a way I can find out when it last occurred?

When I use the Google webmaster tool, it only shows my website containing 12 pages, and I actually have 80. In the last three months I have added tons of internal and external links and have installed a "sitemap xml file" that I also registered with google.

When they index again, will all 80 pages show up in the webmaster tool (as they were included in the sitemap xml file). Also, the webmaster tool says I have 500 links, and I have added several thousand; when they index, will this be reflected?

I am building an html email and I am finished with what I wanted to do but I have a large white space underneath my design and I can't get rid of it.

Please tell me what is causing that space and how to get rid of it.

My goal here is to get rid of the white space, not to redesign the page to make it more compliant, try different css tricks or get the page to work better on firefox or google mail etc. I am only interested in the white space fix.

Our current monitor resolution is 72 dpi. I'm happy with it. But is it likely that we will, some day, wake up to new monitors in the stores, with 150 or 300 dpi?

I have an HP LaserJet 1012 printer and for the past week now it has been printing out 5 little circles spread out about 3" apart on the left side of the page. This happens with every single thing that I print. It's a little bothersome, does this mean it just needs to be cleaned, or does something have to be replaced?? they're about t20 or 25. I want to open the case and try to tap gently on the drive as I believe the head is stuck. It did not make noises or burn up. It was shut down for a short time and just did not start back up. I've been to an appliance repair and a computer shop and they did not have a tip matching the screws. The unit is just out of warranty.

I have a spreadsheet set to calculate age automatically once you enter in the bday. Is there a way to lock only the age column so no one messes up the formula...and so you can skip directly over it when tabbing? I know how to protect document, and lock but I just want it for one column. I do not want to freeze windows.....just lock one column.

I'm excluding software in this case, friend of mine wants to use it to surf the internet and download music/movies and just wants a basic-rock solid computer with parts that aren't going to break down and a tower, fan, and power supply that are going to work, plus leaving room for upgrades later.

WD or Seagate or other for hard drive and what would be a good CPU to keep my eyes out for, older model Intel P4..

Plenty of stores in the area, I just don't have the time to shop around.

I am not good at computers what so ever. I talked this person down to $500 (includes cpu desk). I figure it will need to be upgraded but not sure what, hopefully I can do it myself.

I am planning on getting a laptop in the next few weeks and was just wondering about built in wireless. Does it mean i wont have to stick a plug in it like my PC. Will the internet just automatically come up on the laptop?? Do u pay monthly still like you do with AOL, Tiscali etc? Does my house have to have a phone line for the internet to be able to work? Also Im in the US. Does it make a difference when I go back to the UK? If I have to pay monthly will it still keep coming out of my american debit card? Any information you can give will be very helpful.

Also recommend any good laptops? Not overly expensive but reasonable.

I don't use Internet Explorer because it would just close out on me for no reason when i was in the middle of stuff. So now I use Ace Explorer... but Internet Explorer keeps giving me crazy pop ups and they won't stop. In order to even use my computer I have to run in safe mode. How do i get rid of these pop ups? Please help, I can't afford a new comp and I have alot of school work to do and I can't do it with my computer being crazy!!
