this problem comes after installing a antivirus

There might be a problem with the SMPS, it may not be supplying the amount of power required to start the machine or it may also be supplying excess power due to which its automatically shutting off the supply. Most likely its the SMPS, just have a check on it from a professional. Also check the Processor cooling fan, if its not working, the processor gets overheated & shuts down by itself.

Hmmm...

Well there is one thing I can say, the antivirus did not cause the problem.

This type of issue is generally caused by a short or a failed component, neither of which can be caused by software.

Try unplugging the computer, then hit the power button. This will discharge any built up voltage in the capacitors.

Then plug it back in and try turning it on. If it does not work, then you are going to want to delve deeper.

Start with making sure all the components are seated properly. Push down gently but firmly on all of the components (except for the processor/heatsink) and cables to make sure they are seated.

Then try it again.

If no luck, start pulling the PCI cards out one by one, trying to power it up each time, starting with the Modem if you have one installed.

Once you find the offending component, reinstall it to make sure it is bad.

If none of that helps, bring it to a repair shop.

Mostly likely power supply. It is not giving out the proper voltage, so the PC is shutting down to protect the system board and processor.

(Not the anti-virus as it is not loaded or run until after you get into Windows)

That sounds like a power supply issue. Either the power supply failed or something is shorting it out. Try unplugging the cables from the drives, taking any cards out and see if it fires up. If not try substituting a known good power supply in. If that fails you probably lost the motherboard.

Sounds like a ram problem. Incompatible ram maybe - or a bad stick.
