If you search through Google, you may find so many software suggestions about PowerPoint to DVD and PPT to DVD, I don't know which one is the best solution, but I know basic features of the software should have
1. Fast to load
The program should load as quickly as possible so that the user receives a quick response after inserting the DVD into the drive or DVD player.
2. Full inform
The user should be provided with information about who created the DVD and what it contains.
3. Easy navigation
Leave it up to DVD viewers to decide which presentation they want to watch and in what order. You can also give your users the option to watch a presentation again or to skip it.
4. Conversion Speed
I know it's a long time when you are converting a large size PowerPoint. We do hope the software do things quickly and we can even minimize program to do other tasks during the process.
5. Video Quality
The Video quality I mentioned here refers to three things: Definition, Size, and Compatibility.
Definition and Size means that when you are watching your PowerPoint on TV, it should be clear enough and the video size should fit to the screen. Compatibility enables you to play the DVD on different DVD player. It is better for you to play your DVD presentation on most popular DVD Players.
Hope it can help you!

You may need third party software to do this.Like if the person just wants to pop it into a DVD player… how do I save the SlideShow or presentation in a way that will just play?
Microsoft Powerpoint doesn’t have this option, if you want to convert your PowerPoint to video format or just Burn presentation to DVD and watch on TV with a DVD player, you’d better try a third party software.
Check a Google search for more, but here is a general idea of what you need to do.

For Mac PowerPoint users
Within PowerPoint you can use File, Make Movie. The resulting file is a MOV (QuickTime Movie) file. See PowerPoint's help topic "make movie" for tips on using this feature.
The .MOV file can be opened in QuickTime Pro ($30 - Apple Computer).
In QuickTime Pro use File > Export and choose file type QuickTime movie. Yes, it already was a QuickTime Movie, but PowerPoint's .MOV format isn't perfect so it needs to be re-saved by QuickTime Pro.
The movie can now be imported into iDVD. There, click the Burn button and pop in a blank DVD.
