Hi, I am going to be buying a new desktop for Christmas soon. It will most likely be Windows Vista, but which version of Windows Vista should I get?

There are 4: Basic, Premium, Business, and Ultimate (Basic>Ultimate is like a $200 upgrade!!)

I want to experience:
- Cool, new features that were not found in XP (like that 3D flip thing!!)
- Good security and easy to use (more or less)
- Cheapest one with most of these features above and possibily more (without tremendous increase lag)

Which one would be best for me? And why? (Especially for Ultimate... IF I am going to upgrade to Ultimate, that's an extra $200 and I want to know what I'm paying for otherwise it's like a rip-off!!).

Saving photos to my Picture file is okay, but when I click on the picture for full screen, it opens in word pad and is just a jumble of symbols. How can I get it to open like it should?

Will I get better peformance with AMD 64 Athlon x2 5400 because it can support up to 800mhz ram?

AMD 64 Athlon x2 5000 only supports up to 667mhz

I am using a laptop wirelessly and connecting to an access point. The printer that I want to connect to is connected directly to another computer (by a USB cord).

Whenever I try to connect to this printer through the wired computer, it gives me an error message, saying that the operation could not be completed. The printer is currently being shared, and file and printer sharing is on.

I apologize in advance if this sounds silly. I want to host a website with potential high volume and was told that I may need additional servers in the long run.. does that mean I have to have a cpu-looking box running in my home or can i host through godaddy? suppose I needed say, 7 servers for my page.. can that page be virtually hosted through a service like godaddy? how does it work. please explain. thank you!!!

Okay so on my Apple Mac I tried to drag the system preferences beside the Trash and I accidentally put it in Trash. So I deleted it then I went into Applications and dragged out the System Preferences app there to my doc but I accidentally dropped it on my desktop then I dragged it from my Desktop to my Dock then I dragged the one on the Desktop top trash and emptied it too. I signed into another user name and a "?" came up and when i went over to it it said System Preferences then i logged out and signed back onto my user name and there was also a "?". I have a wireless network at home. My laptop is connected, and I have found that when I am downloading files at high speeds (150Kb/s and higher) the wireless network connection becomes "unavailable". I have to reset the router every time it cuts out to fix and bring the network back up. Why is this happening?
