Go to the options menu of AIM and go to Buddy Icon.
Select file from computer.

In the Settings (F7 on windows by default) there should be a tab for buddy icon. If not, then scroll through all until you find one pertaining to buddy icon. It will then have a button to let you browse your computer to use that buddy icon.
If you're in iChat, then click on upper right square, drag your pic, and it's in! (so much easier)

Well make sure the picture you are trying to put on there is the right size (it has to be 7168 bites or less, so pretty small. )Then go to the tab that says edit, go to settings, then to expressions.There, you will see that you can browse and change the picture to the one you want.

go to settings, then expressions.
You should see 'browse' somewhere and you can choose a file from your computer
