If the average IQ is 100, how many gigabyte is my brain??With all those computer terms, why not my brains in gigabite...Just wondering??

My Pc is a HP Pavillion AMD Sempron(tm) processor 3000+ 1.79GHz and 448MB of RAM

I have already DeFragmented, and Cleaned up the disk space, I have installed Antispyware and done a full scan. I have deleted old files that I don't need anymore.

What else can I do?

I just bought a new laptop with the "Wifi capability (if this even matters) I want to go wireless with it, how do I do it? We do have internet connection to our regular computer in our home but the modem/router is not "wireless". What do I need to buy to go wireless? Im lost and computers confuse me so please use little words..lol Thanks

I dont know very much about computers, let alone networking. My bf knows and he showed me how to look and see if someone else is on my network by going to "View workgroup computers". He showed me because every now and then my internet becomes very slow and I cant do anything, not even homework from college. There are two people who keep poping up on my network and he says that is the reason my internet gets slow but he does not know how to get rid of them. If you click on one it says I need a pw and the username is gray with "DEREK\Guest" on it. The other I can click on but it askes for a pw if I try to get in any of the folders. My bf broke off the wireless router from the internet box but they still get on. How can I get rid of them? I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me. Thank you.

printer was working fine yesterday, and now all of a sudden I get an error message saying that it can't communicate with the computer. It appears to be off line, and the suggestions given on the error message say to log off and back on, check printer cable and USB port, and I have done those things, but it doesn't help. The website tells me to check and see if the firewall is blocking it, but I don't know where to find the firewall or if I even have one. (I'm not very computer knowledgeable) Can anyone help to get my printer functioning again? Ten points to the expert who can do it. Thanks so much!

Hello
I have D-Link DIR-655 Xtreme N Gigabit Router at home and there are multiple people connected to it wired and wirelessly. My ISP gives me a bandwidth limit. some people on the network abuse the system, as a result, my ISP terminated my internet access.
Is there a software that I can buy that lets me monitor the network and see what they are viewing and downloading. I would also want the software to set a limit on each PC as to how much bandwidth limit allowed.

btw, i'm the network admin.
