Whenever I try to watch a video on yahoo videos or youtube..the video will play for 5 seconds and then freeze and then 10 or 20 seconds later it will run for another 5 seconds. Ihave installed the latest flash player but this did not help...WHAT CAN I DO TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM!!

My next door neighbour would like to create a wireless network in order to access internet- through my wired LAN (DSL modem). How would that affect my computer? Could I be having difficulties when trying to access internet at the same time and -would it slow down my connection- speed?

Can someone please tell me what is wrong with this simple script?

From Actionscript 2.0

I also tried this one from Actionscript 3.0...

For both, error message keeps saying-
1087: Syntax error: Extra characters found after end of program: Source }

There are no other characters.

Another error appears sometimes saying something like "mouse action permitted on instance of symbol only" but it is an instance of the button symbol in the library.


I am new to this and would appreciate any help. I'm going crazy!

My NOD 32 antivirus did not detect that virus when i jacked in my friend's Pen Drive. This is the only attack which it has not detected. That virus has removed Folder Options from Control Panel & from the tools section in explorer.It had also disabled the Task Manager & pops a dailog saying Task manager dissabled by administrator where as i am the administrator & there is no other profile.It has also done the same thing with my registry editor. i am not able to access my hidden files due to this. Logging into my comp in Safe Mode is also of no help. Please suggest what to do. I do not have a net connection @ my house. I update my NOD 32 by offline update files from friend. I run genuine Windows XP SP2 & genuine NOD32 antivirus & free version of AVG anti-spyware.(Is there any solution like the one for heap41a virus?)

It's mad fast now. What should I do so that it always runs like new and it doesn't get slow like before? What common programs should I avoid from now on? I think it got slow because I had all these Myspace IM, Limewire, Firefox, AVG, Divx Player, and a lot of other crap. Should I keep everything at a minimum? Like keep using IE 6 instead of IE 7? I think that's probably why at first when I do a clean install it runs fast but as soon as I start upgrading to newer versions of stuff it starts to get slow. I have an almost 4 year old Dell Inspiron 1150 by the way and I only have 768 megs of ram. Could that be it? Because my friend has 2 gigs of ram and her PC always runs fast

I want to know if java is the future. as you might know Microsoft was planning on switching to java programming for their OS, but it never work out. Now Microsoft is using Languges such as DirectX to make the Vista interface, also using C#,.Net, and Silverlight to make stunning Apps. Although Java is capible of doing simaler things, it is not as stable as C# or .net, and is limited is some areas.

so is Java the Future?

I'm taking a intro to Macintosh computer next semester because I'm thinking about minoring in Graphic (Commercial) Art and for all the classes you need to know MAC. I've always worked with a PC with windows on it and only used the old macs back in grade school that had the humogous floppy disks. I know MACs are better for designing then PCs, but what else sets it apart and makes it so expensive? Also, how do you computer process on a MAC? Can the MAC run Office? I know they might be dumb questions, but when you go up on PC there's things you don't know. Thanks!

I need some help entering a lot of data on the computer. They are documents I have to translate from english to french and the work is quite voluminous. The data are in english and I have to have them on the computer so I can translate. So what I need is to find a way to enter those data without having to do a lot of typing.
