You don't know what your actually buying, it's best to just purchase software at the manufacturer. If it's a pirated copy, you won't receive support as you would with a real copy, so it's much better to avoid purchasing software on ebay, unless you trust the seller. I had a friend who purchased a laptop on ebay and it turned out to be a pirated copy of Windows, so it pays to get direct. As a shopping engine, you might want to search various shopping engine to compare prices. I think Yahoo has one and there are sites called shopzilla.com and shopping.com, that are pretty good.

I bought a simple Windows 2000 download on Ebay about a month ago just to get a file back that was corrupted. Not only did it not fix my original Windows 2000, it erased everything else on my computer and I had to buy another one. These guys might be legitimate, but please be careful. Remember, they could sell a hundred of the programs you mentioned, take the $2,000 and shut down the site. Then reopen it under another name. It's your choice. Good luck.

Well I haven't seen the ad, but it doesn't sound right to me. Contact Roxio and perhaps they'll give you a free copy if they find the ad you've spotted is illegal.
