I have wireless broadband where I live a dish on the outside of my home points to a mast on a mountain.

Lately, more in peak times, I seem to be losing broadband connection and cannot get web pages for about 10 or 15 minutes at a time but it comes back on all by itself and then I can get web pages again and surf.

If my broadband provider has put too many people on the system could this be causing the problem that the system just gets overloaded and cuts out?

when it does cut out I go out to the dish which has signal lights/bars on it and there is the same amount of lights as when the Internet is working fine so its not an issue of something blocking the signal from the dish to the mast on the mountain.

I have a dual monitor video card installed, one DVI plug one VGA plug. I also have a VGA plug on the motherboard.

Is it possible to use one VGA monitor on the video card and one VGA monitor on the 'on board' video built into the motherboard to have a dual monitor system this way?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

(neither monitor has a DVI in so I cannot use the other plug on the back of the video card)

I want my family members to be able to print photos I've taken and posted online (at a photo-sharing site, etc.), but I've just discovered that *guests* can't order prints (at Photobucket, from "private album/subalbums," at least, and maybe other places) so I guess that won't work.

Are there any photosharing sites that would allow photos to be made private, but also allow guests with special passwords to be able to view those photos and choose the ones to print?

Any info about this kind of thing welcomed, even if other ways of doing it!

I shut off my computer last night after playing World of Warcraft and turned it on this morning and it went to the Windows loading screen with the blue bar for loading and it just went on forever. It never ended up loading so I had to reset my computer and had to start it in safe mode.

I did a system restore and all it did was make it so now I can't even start it in safe mode. I press safe mode and it shows all these system 32 files loading and never ends up loading, so it just freezes.

I don't have my Windows XP CD because it didn't come with the computer 2 years ago.

Its a very good computer thats not close to being filled. (160GB hard drive)
(1 GB ram)
(2.9GHZ Processor)

Anyone know how to solve this?

Thanks alot,

Vince

I just replaced bad capacitors with whol set of new caps (9 in total).
After checking every other capacitor in power, graphic card, etc.
I re-assembled my PC and tried to start up.

It seemed quite normal in starting up -- until the monitor showed ''Windows XP'' and began to show desktop.
The monitor all blacked out,
but the CPU is still running, CDRW, DVDRW, 3.5" Disk, Key board, Mouse every thing runs OK.
I can use the Key Board Alt + F4 or ALT+Shift + Break
My PC continued to load programs and then settle down -- just as any good PC running,
ONLY That
the monitor blacked out with ''Check Signal Cable''
N.B. this monitor is 100% good -- is being used by other PC.

So, my question is Why this black out?
------------------

My PC OS- Windows XP sp2,
CPU- S478 intel 1.8,
Power supply -Seventeam 450W,
Graphic card -Albatron geforce ti200, Ram 1 GB,
5 years old

and it works fine but I can only see about 35% of the screen the rest is covered by a white mask. But today when I pressed on the screen real hard I was able to see the full screen again but then it clouded right back up with the white mask. But when I could see the whole for that milisecond I could'nt access anything in that area, my pointer couldn't click on anything. Do you know how I can fix this problem?

I just bought a new computer and have an archive of emails on Outlook Express I'd like to simply download and reinstall on my new computer. Emailing them individually to a dummy address will be very time consuming and will keep me from using the new computer. Any help (especially with instructions or references to instructions) would be appreciated.

Thank you.

If one deletes all files from the hard drive of specific data, and deletes all cookies relating to the data (at least all that could be found), and uses the disk clean up program, can an individual still locate these files somewhere in the programing of the hard drive?

I know one sure way of erasing data off a hard-disk is to wave a magnet over it but how exactly?
1. Does the hard-disk need to be powered on?
2. Secondly, does the magnet need to be in physical contact with the hard-disk?
3. Thirdly, how powerful should the magnet be?
4. Fourthly, if other components of the computer 'feel' the magnetic field (and they shall if the hard-disk is still in the computer), would they be damaged?

I almost fell for it the other day. I received a friend invite from a spammer, clicked on her profile and clicked an image, and MySpace log-in page came up. I started typing my username and password when I realized I was already logged in, then looked at the URL and it said "www1.myspace.com".

I know there's a lot of degenerates and losers who want to steel from people, but why on Earth would anyone want to get into someone's MySpace page? There is nothing there useful. You're not getting any money.

I think the most you can get is the person's real name and home address (if they used their real information), but even that seems useless.

I'm new to computer technology, thus I do not know much about computers. Recently, I found out that data that are deleted from "Recycle Bin" are actually NOT DELETED. There is a space in the hard-drive that is specialized to protect that data. Using that forensic scientists can confirm suspects of possible crimes. But I want to know if there is any software or method involved to retrieve data that I deleted previously but want to view it now. I heard that it is even possible to find out the last editing time of that particular file with who edited it or who is was last edited by.

Can anybody find me solutions to find out how this unbelievable thing can be done, like how to retrieve data that were deleted in the past? And how to actually delete everything that I don't need forever from that space so that it becomes non-retrieveable?

Thanks
