yes there are. they used to be rare, but read an article at pcworld.com today telling of a new Trojan virus launched at the mac systems.as the amount of mac's grow so will the virus threats. good luck.

There have only been 2 reported in the last 5 years.
Since the introduction of the Intel Chipped Core-2 Duo and the advent of the use of windows on these machines they are as suseptable as all PC.s especially in the Mail area.
With the use of OSX exclusivly your problems are next to nill. It is always recommended to Have VIRUS Protection reguardless of the Operating System.
Just a side note there are hundreds of thousands of Mac OSX users that have never had any issue.PERIOD.
