I have an usb device that does not pick up on certain pc's. All pc's are using XP.

Plugging directly into my home pc usb or my laptop and windows will not pop up that a new device was found. But when I plug it into my usb hub it picks up and the device driver can be installed. I do not know if this might have something to do with usb 1 or 2.

All the pc's has working usb ports and are installed with XP service pack 2.

The device is in a perfect working order and the device cable is also fine. There is nothing wrong with it.

Any info will be appreciated.

How do I use BufferedReader to read whole paragraph? I dont know how to start it except typing:

class Reader throws IO Exception

I know Im supposed to use readline() but I just dont know how to put it......

BTW can Bufferedreader read strings inside a vector?

im looking for a specificic effect.

i have the pictures and music... i wanna to make a slideshow of pics and the music playing in the background. but the effect is that the pictures are zoom in slowly, or moving slowly sideways... those type of effect.

what video editor has that effect that i need? movie maker on the window computer not have it.

your help is very much thankful!!

I have a dell inspiron E1505 notebook. Ok, when I have my notebook plug in to the outlet the screen monitor appears bright but when I unplug it from the outlet the screen don't look as clear and bright as before . Could someone advise me how to fix this problem?. Thanks in advance.. I approciate it!.

i picked up a toshiba satellite 4010cdt and am going to load windows 98
however i was muckin around in dos and then the battery died. when i connected to mains any command like power or help doesnt work and says bad command or file name.


is this fixable or can i still install 98?

There is a guy on Myspace who is sending out comments and bulletins saying he is going to kill himself, live, on January 15th

He also has it posted all over his page and he has a link to the webcam where he will be doing it.

My background has completely changed: It went from blue to black and my PC has the following message on my background:

Hello....I'm very confused.I got vista home premium full vesion not an upgrade for my computer. I got a ati radeon 1050 256mb ddr grahics card,1gd ram,300gd hard drive,Pentium dual core 3,07 ghz, and everything else for my computer. But when it comes to downloading vista it gives me an error. Let me begin by saying:
I have checked/unchecked all of the necessary boxes to allow maximum folder viewing.

Ok. I have Windows Vista. There are two folders which deny me access, because they are for backup I guess:

"RRbackups" and "System Volume Information"

These folders are taking up 40 gigabytes of space, and I would love to look inside of them, because I'm thinking about just backing up my hard drive on some discs or something. Does anyone know how I can access these folders? Thanks!

I've been having problems with my Dell Dimension 2400 and currently, it won't boot. The Dell screen loads up, does not beep like it used to, and then goes to a blank screen with a flashing underscore. After about 2 minutes and 25 seconds, the screen says:

"We apologize for the inconvenience, but Windows did not start successfully. A recent hardware or software change might have caused this...."

Then it gives me several options to start windows (safe mode, normally, etc.). The last line says this:

Use the up and down arrow keys to move the highlight to your choice.
Seconds until WIndows starts: 30

It will count down to 29 and then freeze. Sometimes, it'll just freeze at 30.

Booting from CD does not work.

On one occasion, I got a "keyboard failure" message.

The contents of the hard drive can be read by my 2nd computer so I don't think that's the problem.

Is there anything else that could be the problem? I want to be sure before I spend the money on a new mobo.
