Does the printer move any paper through, or is it simply that windows THINKS the printer is working OK.

As most printers are USB, and therefore have drivers prone to trying to reinstall themselves if they "feel like it" cos someone unplugs a USB device and it spots it, try the following

Unplug printer from PC
UNINSTALL driver (delete printer from the Printer and fax folder)
Grab CD; install driver again
WHEN ASKED TO, reconnect USB cable

Enjoy printing again.

I had a printer that used to behave like that. What I did was to clean the print heads and insert the inks again, then hit it five times and it starts to print. You might want to try.
