hi, I accidently downloaded a winzip folder, i deleted the folder and then you know how you do the shortcuts and things like that? theres a winzip file under that. it says its 0 bytes and it does not reconize it. so i went under desktop settings and it doesn't have it. but under the shortcuts it does. I'm confused. i tried using virus scan and using the computer search for Winzip File. but it did not reconize it. My dad is gonna be mad if he finds out i download it. he will kick me off the computer for that. just so you know its 0 bytes and 0 on the hard-drive. pls help me ASAP!!!!!!!!

I downloaded a free winzip folder, i deleted the folder and it says i have the file of the winzip, i have a sims 2 game but none of my downloads are showing up. because of that its the file "winzip file shortcut" with the other shortcuts. sooo i'm gonna be busted. I dont understand abt dragging the file to a new folder and?????

also what do you mean restarting? like restarting the computer or something?

Sometimes windows wont let you delete something because it thinks its in use. Try restarting and deleting it off the desktop. If that doesn't work start in safe mode and delete it.

have you tried a good restart? Might fix it cuz sometimes stuff liek that will just get stuck there. If not move it somewhere else. Make another folder in the least obvious spot on the whole comp and drag it there. Will most likely NEVER be found.
P.S. what did you download that he'd be so mad about? lol

If you deleted the folder, no need to worry. It will be destroyed. Shortcuts do not really matter, friend.

If you have a bootable CD, boot with it and delete the file (from a command prompt or terminal window). Otherwise, open a command prompt and run attrib (with that file's name) in the directory that file is located in. See if it's read-only or system. (If it is, attrib can change it - type attrib /? for help).
