Use the Grab application (if you have OS X). Go to Finder and then Applications, then look for Grab. Once you activate it, on the menu at the top of the screen, click Capture, then click Screen. A small window will pop up and you need to click anywhere outside that little window. You will hear a snapshot noise and then a new window will appear with your screen capture.

Hope this helps!

Well, I have an older iMac (v9.0.1) that does not have a print screen button.

I assume you want to print something.

To print a document on a iMac, you need to open up a word processing program like MS Word, and go to the File menu using the cursor, and then slide that cursor down to "Print".

Then the Print pop-up window occurs. You will see a "Print" button usually on the southeast side of the pop-up window. Press "Enter" to activate the printing process--or you can target the cursor to that button, and click it with your mouse and you will have the same thing.

Hope this helps.

Addendum: There is a shortcut to the Print command on the iMac:
Press the "apple button" and while holding it down, press the "p" key. This will open up the Print pop-up window.

you press apple + shift + 4 and then drag the frame over the whole screen. Then "picture 1" will pop up on your desktop and you open that and print it.

press the shift, the key that has an apple on it (next to the space bar) and the number four key all at the same time.
a little circle will appear on your screen and you will be able
to frame what you want and take a pic.
it will then show up on your desk top.
good luck!

Popping in just to give you a star because I have a MAC too and I don't know but will be watching for answers. Something makes me THINK it's like F13 just because it's in the same place on a PC it would be, ya know? I'm probably wrong.....but thanks for asking the question and here's a star (sorry...no good answer from me...maybe next time)
