Are you as pissed off as me with these arsholes that make spyware. We go to work to make money, we then spent that hard earned money on a nice new computer, we log on to the internet and WHAM spyware.

The arsholes that do this are no more than vandals and thieves, by that I mean the companies that place that spyware on my computer then ask for money to download the program from the internet to remove the spyware they put on in the first place.

I believe someone has the technology to track these bastards down and prosecute them. If the technology is not yet available then lets stop spending the money we make on other things and make the internet safer.

This is just me ranting on because I work from home. I have a home based internet business and the internet is where I make all my money from.
So when I get a piece of spyware my online business comes to a halt until I can run my anti spyware program to get rid of it.

Hi,

I want to know this for chat monitoring on my network. Im the admin of the network.

Ok, i have a laptop notebook running BACKTRACK 2 linux.

It has wireshark 0.99.4 running on it.

I have heard from my previous question that it is possible to sniff msn chats with wireshark..

Notes:
I heard about a MSNMS protocol???

Im new to this linux but have been sniffing computers for a while now, but now im sniffing some answers!! :D.

As im new, could you give me a also step by step guide?

I've just installed a sky wireless router and we do not have a telephone line upstairs where our computer is. I've realised that the computer is running a bit slow but it was bearable until I tried to log into my msn messenger (which was already installed from when I was with virgin media) and i'm getting a pop up box saying 'you need the new version of msn messenger before you can continue' then it asks yes or no to continue and download the new version so i clicked yes and it started downloading but the bars where it shows you it's loading/downloading etc were coming up verrrrrrrrrrrrrry slowly so I left it and went downstairs for a while then came back about an hour later and it was still on 3rd bar! I closed it down and then my boyfriend tried to go on ebay later on after I closed everything else down and the pages were taking forever to change. Can anyone advise why this is happening please? Should I just get BT in and get them to install a line upstairs and use our tel line?

Which is the recommended choice for my laptop?

Is it Normal startup, diagnostic or selective?

If I go to start up and remove some start up icons, the system automatically chooses selective startup. So which is the recommended option for my laptop?

Please explain whats the use of this! In the process of messing with it and a few restarts, some of my wifi settings which were wrong actually became right on its own. I was quite happy about it!!

But I somehow am unable to figure out this msconfig thing and please tell me when should I go in there and what are its uses.

They seem to have all the needed compatible items. any other suggestions for my set up. (I know it's not the best, but i'm a year away from upgrading and want my comp to perform a bit better, in the mean time.) Thanks

I do mainly video editing/photoshop etc but hardly any gaming.

I don't want to do any overclocking and I was looking at these packages. One is a 6600 and the other is 6850:

I've read reviews and comparisons all over the internet and they they only seem to take into account that you spend all of your time gaming and you want to overclock them.

I think i'm stuck between weather i should go for the dual core or quad core.

What would you recommend? Will one need more cooling than the other? Which will run faster out of the box for Sony Vegas, photoshop and flash?

I'm upgrading from a Pentium 4 2.6GHz with 1GB RAM. Will i see much of an improvement?

I'll be using the new setup to go to Uni with so I won't want to be doing any more upgrading for around 3 years!

just been listing items to sell on ebay and glanced up and where it says your name (star lets say!) then in brackets your username. well it does'nt say my name it sayes hello AgA*. when i sign in again it said hello my real name, then i went to my ebay and it changed to hello AgA*!!! does anyone know what this is?

I didn't know how to word the question. My son has a pc in his bedroom. I have one in the dining room. We have one modem so we have to continually unplug it & carry it back & forth between the rooms when one of us want to get on the internet. I also have a linyx router. It works but doesn't have any extras besides the plug in cord. I have extra ethernet cords but no instructions on how to or ways to use it.

Is there anyway I can set these pcs up so that we don't have to keep carrying the modem back & forth? Another modem is too expensive. But I get tired of having to go into his room when he's gone or asleep to get the modem & bring it back to mine so I can get on the internet.

A link or step by step of how to would be gratefully appreciated as well. Though I've had web access for almost 10 yrs. I've only recently had the courage to do much beyond download software.

I really want to download some beautiful animated screensavers like the ones from http://www.freeze.com for Mac, but I haven't been able to find a website where I can download them from.

I would really appreciate a link to a website, if you know of one. Or is there perhaps a way to download one of the screensavers and make it work with my mac?

I have wireless internet in my house. Today I had gotten on my computer (a Macbook) and I was having trouble getting on the internet. It showed that I'm getting the signal I just wasn't able to access the actual internet. Well, I clicked on the wireless menu and it said that I was connected to someone elses in my neighborhoods wireless internet. I guess I have been on it for some time. I just didn't realize it.

I did some research and I guess my macbook automatically connects to an open wireless signal around me.

Well, a little bit ago I tried to get on my main computer which is directly connected to our internet. A message came up saying that our service had been disconnected for now.

I'm a little worried that the neighbor that I had been using has found out and complained to the service provider and they shut our service off.

Is it illegal to use another persons wireless internet?
