I downloaded an iso file and when i mount it a load of rar files ceom up and when i open the rar files theres another disk image in rar file. Can i make it into a normal iso so all i have to do is burn/mount it and its working?

Downloaded an ISO file that in properties is 4.37Gb, attempting to burn using Nero Express that says file is 4.483GB and cannot burn to a 4.482GB DVD.
Have formatted the DVD to get extra space, nothing doing!
Why is there such a difference between the properties 4.37Gb and the Nero read of 4.483GB??

Have got HP3100 running fine on my parallel laptop with windows me.
Now the problem is , i have upgraded to Windows XP laptop but with only usb ports.
I have bought a usb to cable which connects to standard cabble of the printer. (the cable has a usb port and a female parallel on the other)

My windows xp do detect the printer and attempts to install it, even i have installed the jetsuite already. during that new hardware installation it ask for the file which are on the c, on providing those files, it continue for some instants and end up saying the "operation has some errors and cannot continue" i also tried to print off by jetsuite, but doesnot help either.
I have tried to change ports one by one and still did not work. I did bought a USB docking for parallel port, which comes to the same point and gives up.
Please suggest, what should i do, to work with my window xp by usb cable.
is there are any usb cable driver available form hp or somewhere which helps to run the printer

I understand how to make an Action and map it to more than one component--in this case, I have it mapped to JButtons on a JToolBar and its corresponding same action to JMenuItems on a JMenu. I was wondering how I would be able to match its focus to one another.

To make clear what I mean:

Say there is a "Color" menu that you can tab to "Blue", "Red", and "Yellow", and also a "Color" toolbar that you can click on "Blue", "Red", and "Yellow". How would I use one Action for Blue that would know which I clicked on, and to set the corresponding focus on the opposite. In other words, if I click on "Blue" in the menu, the focus will stay there (with a radio button for instance). How do I make the "Blue" on the toolbar also get focus?

I own an ASUS D1 series portable computer. Just recently the LCD screen suddenly turns off and no hard disk activity is present as if my unit freezes. The power is still on though and the processor fan still running. It's not because of the power settings... I already checked that. When I reset the unit everything becomes fine but after certain minutes my unit freezes again, LCD turns blank, and my unit becomes unresponsive. I've tried reseting multiple times but after 3, 4, 6 minutes it happens again. It's also not a virus. Can someone help me with this?

Hey, I am going for a major upgrade. First of all here are my computers specifications:

- Intel Pentium 4, 3.2gHZ
- 250gb IDE Hard drive
- 1.5gb DDR Ram
- 128mb ATI Radion Graphics Card
(Compaq Presario: SR1278AN
Chipset: Intel 915P)

I am getting into video editing and need a more powerful computer. I am going to have to save a bit of $$. I am getting a new 22" lcd monitor for sure.

First of all I need a Core 2 Duo, I know this will help in video editing and the rendering time. But my motherboard doesn't take core 2 duo so i need to get a new one. I want DDR2 RAM too so i will need a cheap but not slow motherboard which takes ddr2 as well. Also can DDR ram go in DDR2 ram slots?

I have an IDE hdd and want to get a SATA 500gb but can i transfer ALL the files from my IDE to my new one including windows xp itself, i ave True Image. My computer can connect the IDE and the SATA hard drives.

I need a better graphics card too, can you please recommend where/what to get? And i live in aus

The question is self-explanatory... what font does HelioHost.org use? I am the admin, and I kind of forgot what font I used when developing the site. As you might tell, the design sucks, but I want to keep the logo, and I forgot what font I used. In the Flash file, the words are just pics.

I clicked on a link to a well-known magazine from my Outlook Express e-mail, and while I was registering, my computer crashed. Since then, I can't get Outlook Express to run. I've run the virus program, scanned the disk, defragged it, deleted temp files and the trash can -- but I still can't get in. It sits and thinks for a long time, then finally comes up with something like "You'll have to try a different way to get in." (My operating system gives all the instructions in Japanese, and I'm not fluent in Japanese computer lingo.)

Is there anything else I can do?

i have a directory that I imported to a text file by
dir/b >textfile.txt

I want to know if there is a program that will automaticllay turn each line into a link...

what I basicllay want to do is, the files are names of movies.... i want to be able to hyperlink to yahoo movie previews, or some other movie preview site, and use the text on each line as a search string for which ever site i choose....

doing this manuallay would be a huge hassle, i am tring to automate the process...

I am sure that a simple script could be made to accomplish what I am looking to do...

I've been using Excel for some time to figure out my budget on a weekly, biweekly and monthly basis, but I think I could benefit much more from a program or script that would allow a calendar-type format so that I can look ahead a few months and see where I need to adjust according to events on certain dates. I am selling my laptop really soon. The person who wanted to buy it wanted me to reinstall the operating system so all my crap was off of the laptop. I used Symantic Ghoast which i learned is hidden in most dell computer. It reinstalled my OS and it all worked good, until i went to intall my antivirus. The cd spins around but the drive doesnt show up in my computer.
