I clicked on a link to a well-known magazine from my Outlook Express e-mail, and while I was registering, my computer crashed. Since then, I can't get Outlook Express to run. I've run the virus program, scanned the disk, defragged it, deleted temp files and the trash can -- but I still can't get in. It sits and thinks for a long time, then finally comes up with something like "You'll have to try a different way to get in." (My operating system gives all the instructions in Japanese, and I'm not fluent in Japanese computer lingo.)

Is there anything else I can do?

You can try tr-install the Outlook Express software with the operating system installation disk. Specifically, enter Add/Remove Programs from Control Panel and you will solve the problem.

If you have got Outlook Express 5 try installing 6 and check. If you already have Outlook Express 6 try uninstalling it and reinstalling it. As alternatives, you can use thunderbird or even Microsoft Outlook.
