There is no straight forward way to do it on the keyboard.

Using Microsoft Word 2003 use the following steps:
1) Select Insert Menu
2) Select Symbol
3) Select the normal text font
4) scroll down to the lower case alphabet
5) look for the small letter o
6) two boxes beneath that there is the degrees symbol
7) select it
8) click insert

An alternative way that should work in many other instances
including note pad is to use the numeric keypad on your keyboard as follows:
1) hold down the ALT key on the keyboard
2) on the numeric keypad on the right of the keyboard type quickly 248 (note: that is the ASCII code for this character)
3) and like magic it appears

Hope this helps

You can either type the normal o and turn it into superscript (long way, format, font, superscript, or bring in the superscript icon to put on your toolbar area from right button on menu bar, down to customize, click on format toolbar and scroll down right side till you see superscript (you might also want to bring in subscript). You could also, another long way is to bring it in from the character map - Insert, Symbol etc. or use keyboard keys Ctrl+ as you type the normal o. Remember to get the + you need to hold the shift key down. That really is the quickest method.

Have the Num Lock on first, hold down the Alt button while you type 248 in the numeric pad on the right of your keyboard, then release the Alt key.

Go to the character map, which is located in Start=>All Programs=>Accessories=>System Tools. This program displays all the letters, numbers, and symbols available to your computer. To find the keys you need to press in order to insert that symbol, scroll down using the scroll bar in the window (not the scroll wheel on your mouse), click the symbol you want, look in the bottom right corner of the window, and that's what you need to press in order to insert that particular symbol. ° is Alt+0176.

Assuming you are using Word©, you would select "insert" from the top tool bar. Select "symbols". If your symbols are not set, select Latin-1; the 6th line on the far right is the one you want. The degree symbol as in 75°.

If you want to send it in emails and cannot insert it, just write your email in Word© and copy and paste it in your email.

Good luck!
