I have an old (released in 2000) Netgear 4-port hub (SB-104) that I want to use to network 2 computers together and a cable modem. If I connect one of the computers to the hub without the cable modem, it's unable to retrieve an IP address and says limited or no connectivity. If I connect one of the computers to the hub with the cable modem, it retrieves my ISP's IP address. I don't believe it has DHCP built into it. I've somehow managed to get it working before between the two PCs and internet, but at this point I'm stumped. Is there a way to manually configure my TCP/IP settings to get it to work?

I have a ATI, x600 radeon, its ddr 256 mb !
wanna upgrade, can i get a DDR3 512 mb graphics card?

But i am worried about this DDR thing, would my motherboard support ddr3 ??

Note: These cards require PCI-E x16 slots, they will not function in a x8 slot so for SLi you need dual x16 mainboard. Finally 500W minimum for PSU and 600W+ is recommended

How do I burn a video from my computer onto a DVD and be able to watch it with any DVD player? The video formats would probably be predominantly .avi files as well as .wmv files.

I know how to burn stuff on DVDs, but the videos just doesn't work on DVD players.

(For anyone who knows a lot about video card troubleshooting.)

It is an Acer Aspire M5100. I bought it at Best Buy. The only way that I can get the sounds to work is if I plug in tot he head phone jack. That is in the front and I wasnt to use the speaker jacks in the back of the computer. I have a subwoofer with 2 speakers. The speakers plug in the the subwoofer and the subwofer has a jack that plugs in to the computer. There are like 6 speaker outputs in the back of the compuiter, but none of them work. Please help.

Everytime I start my computer, it reboot ( like 15 seconds after I open my session ). I first thought it was the power ( the computer might not have enough power, so it would reboot..) but I moved it in another room, to plug it where I have a computer ( that work fine ), and it still doesn't work..
It just started doing that today, and I did nothing special with it prior to that.. Any clue about what it has, and how to fix it?

i have tried all the usuall stuff like altering resolution, updating drivers ect.

it has been fixing its self if i changed the resolution down to 1280 x 960 then back again too 1280 x 1024.

I just purchased a Dell Inspiron 1420 with a Core 2 1.5 Ghz processor and 1 GB Ram. My computer was running fine out of the box, but it didn't come with any anti virus software only Windows Defender. I have Vista Basic and I have Spyware Doctor and AVG running in real time, now my memory is always over 65% sometimes 80%, while my processor rarely exceeds 12%. I thought 1 GB was more than enough with a fast processor!

I've used assembly for a few years now, and have always switched across to DOS to use it. This is fine, but I'm sick of windows so I went to Unix. Most of my simple programs Unix (gcc) will take in to account for but the more advanced it wont. Does anyone know where I can find a tutorial that will transition me from one to the other?
