If you get server loads in linux they are decimal numbers ... 0.10, 0.80 etc ... what measurement is this? Is this percentage? 100 being top ?

i would like two monitors, from what i understand of SLI its two grafix cards working on the same screen, my friend says you can run two monitors off of ONE grafix card, i would like one screen to be using the GeForce 8800 Ultra (gaming screen), and the other to be GeForce 8500 GT. can i do this. please help

I need to download a free photo editting software package for work - mainly kind of stuff I'd need to do is sometimes merge 2 images, crop, resize, get rid of background stuff that kind of thing. IT kindly told me to figure out which one I want and ring them so they can put it on my computer (they're soooo helpful)

my sound isnt working as result of a virus i have got rid of the virus and tried to download a sound device from microsoft, but it asked me to type in the product key for my computer. its now saying that my product key is invalid and to download another 1 which it wont let me do. what shall i do????????????

I am getting a report from hotmail saying:

550 SC-004 Mail rejected by Windows Live Hotmail for policy reasons. A block has been placed against your IP address because we have received complaints concerning mail coming from that IP address.

Because of this i cant send to anyone from my computer.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

There's some spelling errors that REALLY annoy me on yahoo. I'm really starting to wonder what the hell is going on with our educational system. Here's a few shocking examples that occur ALL the time.

Concerning power supplies, what does an active and/or passive PFC mean? Another thing, what does it mean when they say ATX12V / EPS12V? I know ATX is the form factor and 12V is the voltage of the rail cord on the power supply, but what is EPS12V?

Using alfalinux on a very old machine, i have the CDrom mounted and can see there are autorun files inside it. How do i actually launch the cd so i can install a more modern version of linux (the system i have doesnt support CD Booting so i had to do a floppy install of alfalinux.

I'm guessing that the rate at which technology makes components obsolete varies from part to part. I would like to know how often I would need to replace every component including: case, power supply, hard drives, memory, motherboard, etc. The reason why I am asking is that I am looking to build my first budget pc but don't want to be replacing the whole thing in a year. I have a Sprint internet connection on my laptop. I am tired of having to pay for another internet provider only so that I am able to use my desktop PC. I have a Belkin router and a router PC card . But if the Sprint PC card is hocked up to my Laptop? How can I make it communicate with the Desktop PC? Is it possible or too complicated? thanks
