my sound isnt working as result of a virus i have got rid of the virus and tried to download a sound device from microsoft, but it asked me to type in the product key for my computer. its now saying that my product key is invalid and to download another 1 which it wont let me do. what shall i do????????????

while connected to the internet
right click on my computer then press->properties->device manager
look for sound and multimedia devices choose the sound card.. right click it and press update driver.. if u cant find ur card in the multimedia tab then it will have a yellow icon with a question mark next to it.. right click this and update driver..

Get the sound card driver from the website of your PC, motherboard or (if discrete) sound card manufacturer; not from microsoft.

what operating system you are using...if vista then try with xp.
